BloodA cold wind gusted through the room.       A young woman stood in the door jamb, inspecting the café. She was extraordinarily beautiful; her alabaster skin was a torch against the darkness of the street behind her. Lustrous, wavy goldenrod hair fell to her leather-clad shoulders. Her eyes seemed luminous as they scanned the room; even her dark hazel irides shone as if made of polished gemstones. Nightmare, Chapter 2Light flooded Jayne’s bedroom.  Everything was surreal. The light came not from the bulbs on the ceiling fan but from the space where the curtain did not cover the window, and from underneath her door and the door to the bathroom. But the light was blinding. The tiny beams of blue-white light illuminated the entire room. Shadows of the lamp, the desk, the blades of the fan, a chair danced along the walls and ceiling. Jayne was not sure why everything in the bedroom seemed to have an electric blue tint. Maybe it was the light.  Jayne sat up in her bed. Chapter Three“What in Hell were you thinking?”       Adael was furious.       “Well, I am sorry, but I wasn’t planning on being attacked,” Othello retorted. His accent was thick and Roman. He sat, relaxed, in a chair with velvet cushions. His feet were up and crossed at the ankles, resting on a low marble table. His olive skin was hidden by ash grey slacks and a white silken shirt, but the fabrics were ripped in many places. If Only the World Were Just You and I...

I'll submit the more-or-less final versions of chapters one, two, and three soon.
I'm halfway through chapter ten.
Long way to go.
Also writing a few short stories for a magazine.
They'll be on here when they're done.

Not really looking forward to the holidays, other than my new computer that I've been lusting for. The only person that keeps me sane won't be around, and I'll be forced into spending time with the whole family (sans my parents, of course) at grandma's house, which will be awkward. Least Derek will be visiting, and Mojo/Zeus will be chewing on everything. hahah.
On a lighter note, gonna spend a lot of time on WoW and a lot of time writing, at least there's no school to get in the way of my entertainment.

Yeah, rambling aside, some new writing coming soon, for the first time in ages.
